Accusations are stressful issues for an RN or LVN, except when a nurse attorney assists you against the case. The Texas Board of Nurses is responsible for all hearings against RNs and LVNs undergoing a case that may revoke suspend or only discipline their license. Take note that nurse attorneys can also defend a nurse’s license against accusations.

This is the story of an RN who has been charged for alleged medical negligence, medical abuse, and malpractices.

On or about September 28, 2018, while employed as a Registered Nurse in a medical facility in Milwaukee Ave., the RN allegedly incorrectly mixed five (5) tablets of Amoxicillin 500 mg tablets in with a bottle of Augmentin 500 mg tablets. The bottle of Augmentin was in use in the medication storage area for distribution to patients who have prescribed a dose of Augmentin in the Emergency Center.

Subsequently, the RN failed to timely document vital signs, patient assessment and reassessment, and administration of medication for a patient. Subsequently, the physician decided to transfer the patient for a higher level of care, and the RN failed to recognize the patient’s medical condition as urgent, complete a Memorandum of Transfer, and to call Emergency Medical Services (EMS) in order to expedite transportation for the transfer. The oncoming shift’s nurse had to get in contact with the RN in order to determine what medications had been administered to the patient and at what times.

When summoned by the Texas Board of Nursing, the RN denies all the allegations against her.

However, without the proper help from a good defense attorney, the RN lost the case and she was disciplined and suspended.

The Texas Board of Nursing then subjected the LVN and her license into disciplinary action. The accusation would have been defended by an experienced and skilled nurse attorney, had the LVN hired one. Hiring a nurse attorney for defense is applicable for any kind of accusation laid against an RN or LVN.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

I consider Yong as the biggest blessing in my life for this year. While I was practicing as a professional nurse in Texas, I received an order from the BON limiting my practice. This was problematic for me since I wanted to continue working for my employer. Yong was the one who wrote a reply letter to the Board and explained my innocence. He made all the necessary arrangements, which led to the issuance of an order in my favor…

I searched for a Texas lawyer who is good at handling nursing defense cases. During my research, I came across the website of Mr. Yong. I read positive comments from his previous clients, which made me become more interested in what he does. Because of this, I tried to send a message via the website. What made me really happy was the fact that a member of his team responded right away! He was so nice to me. I wish there won’t come a time that I would require the services of a lawyer. But right now, I have to say that I will recommend his firm to those who are in need!

The nice thing about Mr. Yong is that he is an expert in the legal aspect of the nursing industry. He has this ability in helping clients to feel calm and more relaxed while the case is going on. With his efforts, he was able to dismiss the case filed against me. I was able to keep my nursing license because of him. My case was quite difficult but he won! This only shows that he is an amazing and skilled lawyer in Texas.
