Any type of accusations can be defended, as long as there is a skilled nurse attorney ready to assist you during the hearing before the Board of Nursing. The Texas Board of Nursing has full jurisdiction regarding cases that may affect an RN or LVN’s license from suspension, disciplinary action or revocation.

Accusations are a must to be observed properly not only by the Board but by a nurse attorney. One such incident happened on or about March to November 2016, a patient sent a complaint showing that an LVN is having a relationship with her husband. The complainant noticed that the nurse and her husband seem to be approaching each other often during her stay in the hospital.

The complaint indicates a violation of the boundaries set between the nurse, their patient, and anyone related to the patient. It may resulting conduct may lead to an emotional injury to the patient and a damage in the patient’s relationship with her husband. It may potentially delay and disrupt the patient’s treatment.

This is a matter that seems to be an accusation if the LVN has a proper reason that shall consider the accusation false. The LVN was summoned before the Board to defend against the case. She stated that the patient was an aunt of her good friend. She added that she built several good relationships with the patient’s relatives as well.

The Texas Board of Nursing then subjected the LVN and her license into disciplinary action. The accusation would have been defended by an experienced and skilled nurse attorney, had the LVN hired one. Hiring a nurse attorney for defense is applicable for any kind of accusation laid against an RN or LVN.
