Additionally, LVN’s conduct deceived the facility of monies paid for hours she did not actually work.

On or about June 26, 2020, through July 3, 2020, while employed as an LVN with a pediatric home healthcare provider in Plano, Texas, and assigned to provide private duty nursing care for a patient, LVN falsified start and end times on four (4) nursing visit notes. Additionally, LVN submitted fraudulent timesheets and received payment for hours she did not work. LVN’s conduct created an inaccurate medical record and deceived the facility of monies paid for hours she did not actually work.

In response, LVN admits to submitting nursing documentation for hours that she did not work and receiving payment for them. LVN states when she was confronted by administrative staff, she admitted to her actions and paid restitution.

The above actions constitute grounds for disciplinary action in accordance with Section 301.452(b)(10)&(13), Texas Occupations Code, and is a violation of 22 TEX. ADMIN. CODE §217.11(1)(A),(1)(B)&(1)(D) and 22 TEX. ADMIN. CODE §217.12(1)(A), (1)(B),(1)(C),(4),(6)(A)&(6)(H).

Because of this, the LVN was summoned by the Texas Board of Nursing to defend her side, but the LVN failed to hire a nurse attorney to help her with her case and without proper defense, the Texas Board of Nursing then decided to place her LVN license under disciplinary action.
